Håvard Hildeng Hauge, CEO of PubGene AS,
has directed activities at the company since 2004
and has previous corporate experience as managing director of Biomolex AS.
Hauge is also an accomplished scientist. He received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from
the University of Oslo in 1999 for his work on protein structures in relation to
membrane permeability in lactic acid bacteria.
Dr. Hauge continued this work in a postdoctoral position including a one year stint at EMBL, Heidelberg.
His scientific efforts have thus far resulted in several (9) publications in international journals.

Eirik Næss-Ulseth, CEO of PubGene Inc., holds an MSc degree in Engineering and a general MBA degree.
He was Managing Director of the software and consultancy company Taskon AS from 1988 to 1999 and
Senior Research Scientist and Development Manager at SINTEF SI in the period 1982-87.
He has been Chairman of the Board of PROFF, the branch organization for the Norwegian software industry,
Vice-Chairman of the branch organization within NHO for the information technology industry in Norway,
Chairman of the Board of Oslonett (the first Internet company in Scandinavia).
He is today a member of the Board of Directors of Ideas ASA, IPnett AS, Biomolex AS, GetMedic AS, Exie AS,
Lonus Technologies AS, and the Norwegian Computing Central.

Tor-Kristian Jenssen, Head of Research and Development,
holds MSc and PhD degrees in Computer Sciences. He lectured Informatics at the
Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1998 – 1999, was a researcher in the Norwegian Cancer Hospital in 2001-2002,
and a Board member of two strategic programs at the Norwegian Institute of Technology.

Trevor Clancy, Head of Product Support,
holds a BSc degree in Biochemistry and a MSc degree in Bioinformatics.
He was a researcher with the Norwegian Cancer Society and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva.
He is an experienced developer of bioinformatics software tools.

Fang Liu, Director of China Operations,
received her Ph.D from the Medical Faculty of University of Oslo for her thesis titled
"Large-scale bioinformatics studies of DNA denaturation and transcriptome profiling technologies".
She majored in telecommunication and information systems,
and received both B.Sc and M.Sc degrees from the Electronical Engineering Department,
Beijing Institute of Technology (Beijing, China). She then worked as a researcher in the Bioinformatics Center,
National University of Singapore (Singapore), for two years, before joining PubGene (Oslo, Norway) in 2002.

Torbjørn Rognes, Head of the Sencel division of PubGene,
has a background in computer science from the
Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway.
Rognes started development of bioinformatics software in 1993.
He defended his PhD in bioinformatics at the University of Oslo in 2001 and established a research group in bioinformatics in 2002.
Rognes is associate professor at the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo, a research scientist at
Rikshospitalet Medical Centre and a group leader in the Centre for Molecular Biology and Neuroscience (CMBN).
He is a co-founder of Sencel Bioinformatics AS.
