Eirik Næss-Ulseth, CEO, holds an MSc degree in Engineering and a general MBA degree. He was Managing Director of the software and consultancy company Taskon AS from 1988 to 1999 and Senior Research Scientist and Development Manager at SINTEF SI in the period 1982-87. He has been Chairman of the Board of PROFF, the branch organization for the Norwegian software industry, Vice-Chairman of the branch organization within NHO for the information technology industry in Norway, Chairman of the Board of Oslonett (the first Internet company in Scandinavia). He is today a member of the Board of Directors of Ideas ASA, IPnett AS, Biomolex AS, GetMedic AS, Exie AS, Lonus Technologies AS, and the Norwegian Computing Central. |

Eivind Hovig, a co-founder of the Company, holds a PhD degree in Molecular Biology. He is currently employed as a tenured scientist at The Norwegian Radium Hospital (DNR), Institute for Cancer Research, Department of Tumor Biology. He has been working on several research projects at DNR since 1980, as a PhD student, post-doc, and researcher. He has taught at several high-level subjects at the University of Oslo, Institute of Biology, as well as at several courses for education of Medical Doctors in Genetic Toxicology. He has been Assisting editor, Cancer Magazine (UICC) and was appointed member of the Norwegian expert group in gene therapy. He is presently member of the governing bodies of gene therapy and microarrays at the Radium Hospital. He is also on the scientific advisory board of the Norwegian companies NorChip AS and Biomolex AS. |

Tor-Kristian Jenssen, Head of Research and Development, holds an MSc and a PhD degrees in Computer Sciences. He was a lecturer in Informatics at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1998 – 1999, a researcher in the Norwegian Cancer Hospital in 2001-2002, and a Board member of two strategic programs at the Norwegian Institute of Technology. |

Nils B. Vogt holds a PhD degree from the University of Oslo and an MBA degree from the Norwegian School of Management (BI). He is currently employed as CTO at Argentum Fondsinvesteringer AS - a Norwegian fund-of-funds investor financed by the Norwegian government. Nils has worked as CEO/President of Natural ASA (ticker NTL on Oslo Stock Exchange), On-Site / Production Manager of Scanwafer AS, Research Director for Analytical Sciences R&D, and also Pharmaceutical Sciences R&D of Nycomed Imaging AS. From 1994 to 1996, Nils was Chief Rep. Officer for Hafslund Nycomed in P.R.China and responsible for establishing and growing the sales of the Nycomed Pharma product portfolio in P.R. China. He has published over 30 international articles ranging from environmental chemistry through biology and ecology to multivariate statistics and chemotaxonomi. |

Jorun Ruud holds an MSc degree in marketing from The Norwegian School of Marketing. She is currently the Concept Leader within communication and strategy in Concept Communication. Previously, she has worked as a hotel manager for Fagerfjell Høyfjellshotell in 1994 – 1995, was the Head of Customer Service at Internet Provider Oslonett / SchibstedNett in 1995 – 1997, and Product and Project Manager Internet services for business market in Scandinavia Online in 1997 - 1999. She was also the Head of Sales and Marketing and advisor for Internet solutions Gazette in 1999 - 2002. |

Torbjørn Rognes, Head of the Sencel division of PubGene,
has a background in computer science from the
Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway.
Rognes started development of bioinformatics software in 1993.
He defended his PhD in bioinformatics at the University of Oslo in 2001 and established a research group in bioinformatics in 2002.
Rognes is associate professor at the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo, a research scientist at
Rikshospitalet Medical Centre and a group leader in the Centre for Molecular Biology and Neuroscience (CMBN).
He is a co-founder of Sencel Bioinformatics AS. |
